About the Rho Chi Lambda Digital Portal

This website is the digital home of Rho Chi Lambda, the London chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men. Chartered in 2011 as the 675th chapter of the fraternity, Rho Chi Lambda carries forward a lineage that traces back to Beta Psi, Alpha's earliest foothold in London during the years of the Second World War, and connects it to a growing community of brothers across the United Kingdom and beyond.

The portal exists to serve three audiences. First, current members of Rho Chi Lambda, who use it to review chapter history, confirm the standing Executive Board, trace their lineage back through the brothers who crossed before them, and stay current on dues and upcoming events. Second, prospective members interested in joining Alpha Phi Alpha, who can learn about the fraternity's programs, values, and the process for becoming a brother. Third, alumni, family, and the wider community, who can browse the chapter's archival photography, read about its community service initiatives, and follow its activity on Instagram.

It is not an official publication of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at the national level, but a chapter-level resource created to preserve the chapter's history and keep its brothers and community connected.
